The main objective of the Fund for Rural Economic Development in Armenia is to assist to the decrease of the poverty through economical development of the rural areas of the Republic of Armenia. For the accomplishment of its main objective, the Fund puts forward secondary goals, which are:
- Assist the growth of those agricultural organizations with relative economic advantages, which relate to the poor households and farms producing agro-product and which can create new jobs for rural people;
- Provide the appropriate package of investing and financing tools, which will correspond with the capital financing demands of the organizations operating in rural areas;
- Provide the further development of the financial system of RA in order to satisfy the financing needs of SMEs.
